About the Academy

The aim of the programme is to encourage business growth and competitiveness by enabling employers, like you, in the North Wales region to review your organisation and strategy with a view to improving the capability and competitiveness of your business.

How does NWBA work?

NWBA is business focused & bite-sized, with two distinct phases:

Phase 1

Once enrolled into NWBA, members complete Phase 1 the Strategic Business Analysis (SBA) Module before the business moves on to Phase 2.

This SBA module gives the business leader the opportunity to step back and review all aspects of their business, strategically. This is done alongside a business mentor, tutors and a peer network of other business owners with an emphasis on long-term growth and sustainability. On completion of the SBA, the business gains access to Phase 2.

Phase 2

Here a business can pick specialist modules from any of the four partner institutions. The specialist modules are within the key 7 themes:

  • Financial Management
  • Developing People
  • Governance and Ethics
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Business Strategy
  • Managing Operations
  • Business Communications
